Who would have known what great things were in store for this baby puppy. He was the biggest in his litter and wore the yellow yarn around his neck. We affectionately called him "Big Yellow". He had the gentle way of his daddy Toby and the energy of his mama Devon. A chance meeting in Springfield MA is where Laura Gilbert laid eyes on this beautiful pup and something said "take this dog home!" So home to Virginia Dundee went. He lived with schips and belgians and parrots and aussies and tollers and kids and sheep! He had a whirlwind romance with a cardigan corgi and a couple of border collie girls. As he grew into a big handsome dog, Dundee swept through his breed championship twice winning the breed from classes over specials. He completed his title at the competitive KY specialty weekend shows. How lucky Laura was to find Susan Rhoades. Together this team of three made history by earning Dundee's Herding Championship and then the Grand Championship in conformation. This gave Dundee the honor of becoming the world's first Dual Grand Champion border collie. His son Simon is the second Dual Gr Ch. Dundee was a true border collie, smart and kind and devoted and loved by so many.

Dundee's New Champion picture is above from the 2006 Kentuckiana circuit. Thank you to Jimmy Moses for showing him for us.

In the photos below, Dundee won Best of breed over specials from the classes.

Dundee is pictured above at his first dog show. He won Best Of Breed over a Champion from the puppy class for his first major at just 9 months of age!

What a way to begin a show career! Below are some of Dundee's herding pictures.
